B/W Relay - 1500 Induction Style Relay

Induction Style Relay - The Series 1500 induction style relay with field convertible contacts provides a versatile and reliable liquid level control.  The design also makes the 1500 one of the most durable relays available.  Applications such as pump-control, level alarms and long distance applications can be easily performed with this device.  Available with 1,2 or 3 isolated double break contacts, all rated at 25 amp @ 120V or 240 VAC.  This device is UL & CSA recognized.

The B/W 1500 induction relay utilizes the liquid as an electrical conductor to complete the secondary circuit between the upper and lower electrodes. Thus, when the liquid contacts the upper electrode, the resulting flow of current in this circuit sets up a bucking action in the lower bar of the core. This action tends to divert lines of magnetic force to the core legs and sets up an attraction that pulls the armature in to contact with the legs. This armature movement closes the electrode and load contacts.

BW Relay - 5200 Solid State Relay

Solid State Relay -The Series 5200 solid-state relay utilizes a low voltage sensing circuit to eliminate shocks and product contamination caused by the sensing circuit of high voltage liquid level relays.  The combination of performance-proved solid-state circuitry and an electromechanical load relay provides optimum stability and reliability.  Ideal for use in a wide variety of industries that including food, drug and chemical processing.  The series 5200 is capable of performing control functions directly from electrodes or pilot switching devices located several miles away.  The unit is UL recognized and CSA listed.

The B/W 5200 Solid State Controls are offered in two basic types for use in a wide range of low and high sensitivity applications. Both are designed to operate on either 115 or 230 volts AC at 50/60 hertz. Both incorporate a low voltage sensing circuit. Both are also capable of performing control functions directly from electrodes suspended in a well or tank, the B/W Unifloat level sensing system, or various pilot devices such as pressure, flow and limit switches, thermostats and push buttons.

B/W Relay - 5300 Intrinsically Safe Relay

Intrinsically Safe Relay -The Series 5300 is specifically designed to provide an intrinsically safe and economical means of detecting and controlling a wide variety of processing variables in explosive environments.   The control circuit energy is inherently limited to less than 1 milliampere at 9.6 volts dc to assure intrinsically safe operation under abnormal fault conditions.  Applications include chemical processing operations, coal preparation and sewage treatment – to mention just a few of the many areas for safe, practical installation. The unit is FM and CSA approved for Class I, II, III; Division 1; Groups A, B, C, D, E, F & G hazardous locations.

Regardless of sensitivity ratings, however, all B/W Series 5300 Relays are designed to operate continuously with external probe or pilot circuit resistances as low as zero without damaging the relay. This permits intrinsically safe operation at all times from electrodes or pilot switches.

BW Relay - 5400 Plug In Style Solid State Relay

Plug-in Style Solid State Relay -The Series 5400 provides a compact and economical package, utilizing an 8 pin mounting base for quick & simple installations.  Its compact size and low energy sensing circuit make the 5400 ideal for use in space constricted installations found in dispensing machines and coffee makers, plus many types of operating equipment in the food, drug, dairy and chemical processing industries.  LED indicator provides fast visual confirmation when the relay is energized.  The unit is UL recognized. 

In addition, Series 5400 Relays have a low energy sensing circuit with a lock-in holding feature that permits operation over a range of levels, or from momentary contact pilot devices such as float, actuators, etc. Thus they are equally suitable for use as original equipment components in many products and systems that require monitoring and control of such process variable as temperature, pressure, humidity, flow, voltage and current.

B/W Relay - 5510IS Fail-Safe Relay Module

Intrinsically safe, Fail-safe Relay Module - The 5510 is specifically designed to provide an intrinsically safe and economical means of detecting and controlling a wide variety of processing variables in explosive environments. The sensing circuit is designed to prevent releasing sufficient energy to ignite most flammable gases or liquids.  The Series 5510 uses two electro-mechanical output relays, one being energized when the supply power is connected to the 5510 and the other is energized when the sensing circuit is completed.  This allows load circuits to open or close on power loss to the 5510 module as needed.  A short time delay is used to eliminate nuisance tripping due to liquid wave action or other quickly cycling inputs. Suitable for use in refineries, grain elevators and sewage treatment facilities - to mention just a few of the many areas for safe, practical installation.  The unit is UL listed for Class I, II and III; Division 1; Groups A, B, C, D, E, F & G hazardous areas.

BW Motogard - Over-Temperature Protection

Motogard Over-Temperature Protection Systems provide immediate overheating protection for: motors, equipment enclosures, semiconductor heat sinks, sleeve bearings, and other related machinery. All Motogard systems fully conform to the NEC requirements for integral motor thermal protection. Using Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) thermistors embedded in or in contact with the surface, the Motogard system is able to continually sense when the equipment exceeds the pre-selected temperature limits.

Motogard systems are recommended for applications requiring high reliability under conditions of heavy duty or severe ambient contamination. Minimum rif interference, absence of arcing, and maintenance-free long life are built into the Motogard systems.
