Intrinsically Safe LDT - The 950IS is an intrinsically safe analog system. The system uses a remote transmitter mounted in a safe area wired through intrinsically safe barriers to the LDT, which may be mounted in a hazardous area. The term 'Intrinsically Safe' pertains to a device's inability to produce an electrical spark of enough significance to cause ignition. This system incorporates circuitry that is U.L. listed for use in Class I, Groups C and D, Class II, Groups E, F and G, and Class III hazardous locations.

Gemco 925 Linear Cable Reel Sensor
The Gemco Electric series 925 Linear Cable Reel Sensor can be used in any linear application up to 1200 inches. The system consists of a heavy-duty spring motor assembly attached to a precision machined cable drum. As the cable is pulled off of the precision drum, the drum rotates a shaft connected to it. The shaft is precisely geared such that the full number of revolutions of the drum is equal to the appropriate number of revolutions required by the chosen sensor. The Series 925 Linear Cable Reel Sensor can be used with our Series 1746 Resolver Input Card and a Series 2120 PLC Transducer Module.The 925 Cable Reel also provides accurate position feedback for linear motion up to 100 feet. Mounting for either resolver, encoder, cam switch or rotary potentiometer.

Gemco 956 BLOK Housing Option
The Gemco Electric 956 BLOK is an optional housing for the 955 Brik LDT. This housing adds a chamber, magnet and piston. The streamlined anodized aluminum extrusion houses the sensing element and electronics. The piston assembly moves over the sensing element that determines the position and converts it to a readable output. The BLOK is a self-contained unit and does not have a can or a head assembly.
Overview Units can be ordered in span lengths up to 36 inches long in 0.1 inch increments. This transducer can be mounted vertically or horizontally in an application. Optional spherical rod ends are available. |
